A Hidden Family Gem


Head Chef

Daniel Cote a Northern California native, grew up cooking side by side with his father. Daniel studied the culinary arts at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco.  Showing natural talent, Daniel graduated early and went to work at the famed Bouchon in Yountville. After a successful year, Daniel earned a position at the Michelin stared restaurant “The Village Pub” in Woodside, California. Daniel was then recruited to open new restaurants in the popular cities of Palo Alto and Menlo Park. Soon Daniel expertise in opening kitchens and extensive knowledge with local and organic ingredients gave him an edge in Silicon Valley where he earned a coveted position in the corporate kitchens of Apple Inc. Daniel was able to bring local farms to large scale cafeterias to ensure our leaders in technology had access to the best of California cuisine.  Today, Daniel is back in Placer County to realize a life long dream of growing his own food and to raise his three daughters on a small farm and teach them about sustainable living. Close to home, he is bringing to the Quarry Ponds shopping center a farm to fork bistro.
